The text needs to be bigger or there should be more contrast:

This electronic magnification system can magnify printed materials or objects.

The text needs to be read out loud; enlarging text and increasing contrast do not help:

This software is used by individuals who are blind to convert text from a printed page to a computer file which can then be read using synthetic speech.
